Engineering Consulting Services for

Sheldon Creek Watershed Hydrology and Hydraulics Study

The City of Burlington proposes to engage a consultant for the purpose of developing/updating the hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of Sheldon Creek watershed.

The study area is defined as Sheldon Creek Watershed (which is a combination of the East Sheldon Creek and the Main Sheldon Creek watersheds).  The headwaters of Sheldon Creek originate north of Highway 407.  The entire watershed is within the jurisdiction of Halton Region Conservation Authority.  The main channel flows in a southerly direction to Lake Ontario.

All proponents shall be held to have thoroughly examined all specifications, maps, and all documents issued as part of this RFP, and to have visited and inspected the study area and to have thoroughly familiarized themselves with all pertinent conditions before delivery of their proposal, and no allowance shall be subsequently given by the City for or by reason of any error or omission on the part of any proponent or subcontractor with respect thereto.

In person, at Purchasing Services, $65.00 Administration Fee (incl. HST)

 

METHODS OF PAYMENT:

Payment by credit card is required for documents available electronically.  If picking up the document in person, the City will accept cash, cheque, Interac, MasterCard, Visa and American Express.   Cheques are to be made payable to The Corporation of the City of Burlington.   Documents will not be released until payment is received.   The City of Burlington is not responsible for delivery delays via courier or mail.

N.B. It is the responsibility of the vendor to check the Biddingo Web Site for any possible addenda.

No verbal communications shall modify the terms, conditions, or specifications, unless they are confirmed in writing to all potential proponents by the City of Burlington Purchasing Services in the form of an Addendum. 

 

If a Proponent finds omissions or discrepancies in any of the Proposal documents, unnecessary restrictions in the scope of work, or should he/she be in doubt as to the meaning of any part of this document, he/she should notify the Senior Buyer named as the Single Point of Contact, in writing prior to submitting a proposal.  An addendum will be issued if it is determined that a correction, explanation or interpretation is necessary or desirable.

 

DISCLOSING BID TAKERS:

Purchasing Services practice is not to disclose the list of bid takers.  There may be some exceptions, e.g. when the bid call is related to construction. However, the City reserves the right to disclose or not to disclose this information.
